I have confimed that a fat monster will live longer, but a skinny monster will get higher stats and better with the drills. Also, fat monsters have more life-span because it gets lower stat earning, and skinny monsters life-span is cut a bit so you can max it out faster.

That may be, BUT it has also been proven (repeatedly) that a "normal" monster will have less stress. It all depends on what's more important to you, the trainer. *shrug*

this is not scientific, but i agree with w.g. i don't control weight, and in my good monsters, the skinny ones pile up stats fast[and seem to be a little better in battles] while the fat ones live a little longer.
