Fighter planes alarmed airline passengers

Three British fighter planes came so close last night to a Widerxe passenger plane on route between Bodx and Skagen (North Norway) that both the crew and passengers reacted.

The fighters flew over, under and at the same altitude as the airliner, which had 36 passengers on board. The Department of Defence and the Civil Aviation Authority are investigating what happened.

The British Tornado fighters are participating in a military exercise called "Joint Winter".

If this ain't the dangdest. There were four small plane mid-air collision incidents over U.S. airports in just the last three weeks. In each case the incoming plane had permission to land from an air controller. Throw on top, the indident where two small planes collided on a runway. The take-off plane had a go signal from a controller, and the other plane had a wait signal. You've just got to know that these stem from technical problems in the air control system. I wonder when, if, or ever the plublic will catch up with this.
