Newcastle's answer to Wolfy Smith

An anarchist with a radical conscience has been brightening up my walks to work most mornings. He/she is conducting a graffiti campaign against all the advertising hoardings on my route to work. There are a couple of classics at the moment:

An advert for some business class air tickets bears the slogan, "21st Century discovery: the world is flat". Underneath, our radical has daubed, "And Mozambique has just sunk". Ouch!

Further on is another of those interminable car adverts with the slogan, "Nothing fitted is standard". Wolfie has added, "Exept the wanker driving". Ha ha ha!

Other recent blows were "No personality? Buy a car." and on some shampoo advert which trumpeted, "Feel the difference!" our anarchist had painted, "The bunnies certainly did."

I can't help but admire this person, however naughty they are being; it beats the hell out of the adverts themselves and is a world away from the tedious rap-culture doodles and 12 year olds writing "F*ck".

Hahaha class....keep me posted on any more :))

Wouldn't it be so much more amusing if adverts took the piss out of themselves...

Greatest piece of graffiti I ever saw was on a poster advertising a church social event or summick. At the bottom of the poster it read 'Sandwiches May Be Eaten' And some wag had added - So Don't Go if You're A Sandwich

Wonder if it's the same person that added "cShit" to the lone M golden arches logo on the McD's billboard at Wallsend Metro station in December?

Those are great, Softie. Keep us informed of new ones.

Wolfie has been busy. Some 'free your mind, buy our product' sign has had added to the bottom "Believe in Anarchy". Some investments hoarding now has "People before profit" appended to it.

The main event, however, is some Sky Digital add complete with enormous Andy Cole opposite SJP: now has "F*ck off Murdoch!" in red paint along the bottom - marvellous.
