Two things.

1) Van Nistelrooy refered to Cole as one of the best strikers in the world. It's on Riks site.

2)What about Pierre Van Hoojdonk as a backup striker. ;)

PVN: good striker: serious nutter: not with bargepole.

VN: don't know why, but I have this funny feeling that Van Nistelroy's close link with and respect for BR might just land him at SJP. This would depend on BR having decided that DF is not a long-term proposition AND being able to sell him on for serious dosh.

I feel we'll make two big signings in the close season. If we could raise some serious dosh from the "useless 13" plus say DF (and possibly even Nobs, if he really wants out), then buying someone like VN might just become feasible.
