What ER character (past or present) are you most like?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

Many people think Kerry is too stern and rigid with her rules and regulations. I look at her and I see similarities between her neccessity for rules and my own, which may be a scary thought.

I also see myself in Lucy who was always trying to be eager and impress her supervisors.

At the risk of disclosing too much or approaching a subject no one cares about, I thought it might be fun to think about what character(s) you would likely be from the past or present ER staff.

Okay, how many people are going to say Carol so you could have George Clooney's babies?

Unfortunatly I see myself in Kerri. I am a stickler for rules when it comes to the job, and she so reminds me of myself often. That's not good! But I would most like to be like Alex, she is so strong!

Excellent question Lisa. What fun. While watching Abby Road, I think, I said to my ER-watching-partner how I loved such-and-such that Kerry did and she replied "Well sure, you're rather like her." Uh oh. But I wouldn't do to Mark what she did, or would I? I did agree with her about that poor young cancer patient who MArk couldn't let go. How many people would admit to being like Kerry? I don't think I'm similar to Carol- couldn't be a nurse. I want to be like Elizabeth "when I grow up". Th eonly way I'm like Rocket is that I love my dog. From what I've seen of Abby, I think I'm most like her (but I don't understand why she smokes). If other people answer this it will be quite revealing.

I'd have to say I'm most like Alan ALda's character (can't remember his name) and the reason I think I'm most like him....because I can't remember anything :)

I think my all-time fav is Carter. He is a well-rounded character and it is easy to like him. I think I am most like Lucy, I am very eager to impress people, and I sometimes am too compassionate. :o) Thanks for this opportunity, it was fun.

wow, what a question! ok, (although I wish I were Carol:) ) I am going to say Susan. I'm not exactly sure why, I just remember that everything she went through seemed so familiar to me. . . and I cried like a baby when she left.

I'd like to think I'm most like Elizabeth ... I can be tough but I can also be compassionate.

Half Malik, half Jerry...a "gentle giant," with a devilish sense of fun.

-- Chris A. (movibuf@juno.com), March 08, 2000.

I think I'm like all the characters in one way or another, but I'm probably most like Doug, I guess, because if I think the rules aren't helping, I don't listen to them. I wish I were more like Kerry when it comes to following rules because then I wouldn't get in trouble half as much as I do, but I am like her in that I don't really care what other people think if I'm doing something I think is right.

Thanks for such a fun question!

I'd have to say I'm like a combination of two-- Elizabeth ( her personality basically matches mine, but also Lucy because I'm so eager to please my teachers (you have no idea how many times I get called a suck- up or teacher's pet in a day!). I'm also kind of like the nice Kerry that we saw in 'Getting to know you' with Jack, cuz I'm good with kids, and I always want to help people in any way I can.

-- Lisa (Shaniakicks@hotmail.com), March 08, 2000.

I think I see myself mostly like Lucy because even though I want to learn things I have no patience (sp?) sometimes. I also always want to impress people by doing everything I can. Even though I would LOVE to be Carol because... Duh you know! (George is at hottie!):-)

Probably Lucy, I try not to, but I suck up to my teachers a lot and I'm a know-it-all.

Excellent question. I had to think about it for awhile. I'd say I'm like Kerry. I'm very detail oriented (I have a job that requires it). I'm rigid (although I'm working on that) and like Kerry, I do have a soft side and a romantic side (remember Kerry with Mongisi (sp) the man from Africa. She's done things in the past that I'd never do, like screw Mark over for the chief position, but all-in-all, for better or worse, I'd say I'm like her.

I'd have to say a combination of Carol & Susan. I can have a real attitude when I want to. I just see so much of myself in Carol, from the hair and skin tone right down to the men we are attracted to!! (Well, except for Tag...) I tend to take on the role of caretaker and enabler with my friends, as Susan did with her sister, and then of course get fed up with it all and try to get harsh with them. Both women do and have done such great things, and so while I see myself in them, I also emulate and aspire to be like them.

-- Leigh (WillnGraceNYC@yahoo.com), March 08, 2000.

I think I must be most like Mark Greene-smart, but can screw up by thinking TOO much, dwelling on things, etc. A female version of Mark, anyway-also, not universally physicaly appealing but with some interesting physical characteristics-don't ask! I can definitely sympathize with the character, perhaps more than any other. (My fave is STILL Carter, though!)

-- MicheleB (kpminc@aol.com), March 08, 2000.

I'm most like Romano because I, too, like to make people look like idiots, and I occasionally act like a jerk just to get attention. But I have a heart of gold, really I do.

:)

just kiddin i like rocket!

Good question!

I'd have to say Lucy 'cause I can be impatient and too eager to please. Maybe that's why I didn't like her character that much. I'm also a little like Carol 'cause I try not to get too emotional with the people I'm around, including my family.

-- AmyE (roamyn@aol.com), March 10, 2000.

I think i am more like abby, because i act just like her. I have gut feelings

-- crystal (www.crystal@yahoo.com), March 10, 2000.

I see myself in Lucy with her impatience, eagerness to please, and compassion. I also see myself in Kerry because at times I'm a stickler for rules, but like Doug because at other times I don't have a lot of regard for rules if I think they won't help or don't make sense.

-- kristal (teetle1@juno.com), March 28, 2000.

i am most probably like elizebeth,i can be strong and firm with a cute funny style. im a hard worker. i sometimes take crap from people! thats bad! example...romano. im real glad im like elizebeth. but i have that dorky - kerry side too!

-- rachel (thehilfigergirl@aol.com), March 28, 2000.

I'm Kerry. Seriously, I feel like Kerry the teenager. I'm a total stickler for rules, times, organization. Administrative type, and I can be overly "bossy". I also can seem like I have NO blood. I'm not the most "shepherdish" person, not in the least. I notice something Kerry says or does, and I'm like "Oh my gosh, I just did that (different setting, of course) last week!" I'd actually like to be a little less impulsive (not that I am really impulsive in the first place). Anyway, I just don't see how people can dislike Kerry! I started watching at the beginning of the sixth season, so Doug Ross was already gone. Thank goodness, because I would have probably strangled the TV set. So, I'm Kerry. In personality, that is.
