CONVERT 35MM TO DIGITAL?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

About a year ago Popular Science published an article that included a device that would replace a roll of film in a 35mm camera and record any of the images shot with the camera in digital format.

I would like to know what the name of that product is, and if it is available yet.

thanks,

H

Also try http://www.imagek.com This was to be for use with certain Nikons and Canons, but don't know if they ever did finally introduce it.

This question has raised its ugly head before.

Imagek and Siliconfilm are the same product just a new name. It is a classic vapor ware product. They have been promising to be on the market in a few months for close to two years now. Any claims about product availability are pretty worthless at this point. Visit the site it has at least one very significant limitation (size of the sensor). If it were about half the price I might be interested assuming it ever reaches the market.
