Can we please steer clear of bogus email addresses? I don't want the mail server getting wedged because of bouncing mail (it tries to send several times to cope with legitimate errors).

I'll work on making things more like Communicata, and will try to do something about giving folk their anonymous IDs back. You'll have to bear with me though.

On another point, I'll soon be able to open up the admin to those of a techie bent who can give a bit of time to oversee things from time to time.

If anyone's noticed slow network access this afternoon, I can assure you it's not this site; there's been a major fault reported on the transatlantic network switching facility, and as this BBs is hosted in Boston, we've had problems routing to it. Sod's law; this kind of failure happens typically once every five years.....
