We have an application that needs a digital camera of approx. 1600 x 1200 resolution. The camera will be mounted statically and we want to activate the photo taking, download the photo directly to the PC's disk (USB type speed is required) and rename the file all under control of a C program or VB program running on the PC.

We have used cameras which, once the photos have been acquired can be attached as a TWAIN device but we want to also activate the photo taking from the PC - not just the download.

Any suggestions for a camera that fits the bill?
