west coast contingent calls for back-up

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

I am posting here on behalf of the west coast contingent (kelly, kathy, erin). we have successfully infiltrated alt.music.misc, but as it turns out, we are talking to ourselves (and about really cool stuff which you are all missing out on). we have a strong suspicion that the so-called boston girls aren't as big of joe 90 fans as they claim. in fact, unless we see a little east coast action on alt.music.misc, we are going to take someone hostage (probably gary because he drives the best).

if you want to SAVE GARY (and we know you do) you better start posting...NOW! for your convenience, we have already started threads about live shows, set lists, the album cover, big bad divas, sheepdogs, soundchecks, bootlegs, and other random topics that you are sure to enjoy.

and let's not forget jessica (like i just did)- another east coaster who has posted on alt.music.misc in support of joe 90.

ok...i concede that there have been a few posts from the obviously dedicated east coasters.

but we're still taking gary hostage. 'cause we want to. :P

"but we're still taking gary hostage. 'cause we want to. :P"

oh. . .well. i can't blame you there. i mean, he IS the best driver.

uhhhhhhhh. he may be the best driver, but i think his parking skills may need a little work. (this coming from the girl who can't parallel park a tiny 2-seater so i say that with all the love in the world)

i don't think i've ever posted anywhere as much as i've posted to that newsgroup today :) how are we doing, kelly?

lol, i was just going to respond to that too. if gary is the best driver, they're all in serious trouble! we were right behind them for 10 or 15 minutes, during which gary never chose which lane to drive in, but stayed right in the middle the entire time. then, when they had to get off at an exit, he had finally decided to drive in the left lane, so he made a complete stop and drove across 2 lanes to get on the ramp. good thing it was 3 am and the road was pretty much empty or we all would have been dead. after all that, it turned out that it was the wrong exit and they were lost so we shouldnt bother following them. then of course, kris and i had no idea where we were and ended up hopelessly lost and drove around in circles for at least an hour, finally getting back to my house at 4 am when we had to wake up at 7:30. anyway... that was my night in pittsburgh after the rest of you left. arent you sorry you missed out? :)

his parking skills do leave a little to be desired too. but i failed my driver's test 4 or 5 times because i kept hitting those damn cones when i tried to parallel park, so i'm one to talk.

being a not-so-good driver myself (right, barb?!), i had to respond:

have any of you ever driven a vehicle that was TOWING something on the back?! its not very easy, yanno! especially backing up. jackknife. eek. horrible memories.

AND if you don't know where you are going, its even HARDER. sheesh. bad drivers of the world unite!

AND if i knew how to GET to the *other* joe90 newsgroup THING, i would happily post there. im not user-friendly. someone send me a link.

okay someone mentioned parallel parking - i drive a VW BUG and i can't parallel park. like, at all. i have to be able to pull right into the curb. people stare at me in disbelief. "ITS A BUG" yeah well. sod off and blow me.

i could never park a trailer! on tori tour when we did the midwest leg we were driving a van and when we had to park i would have to stop in the middle of the driveway and switch drivers to park. hah. hell, when we were in the south driving a little camry i had to have someone else park.

but im an excellent driver.

"lol, i was just going to respond to that too. if gary is the best driver, they're all in serious trouble! . . . good thing it was 3 am"

so let's see. . . 3am. . . no sleep the night before. . . driving a van with a trailer. yeah. those are the kind of conditions that always bring out the best in my driving skills.

barb and sue can attest to my wonderful parallel parking talents. "oops. was that the curb? oh look. the car in the next space is leaving too. i think i'll just wait and pull ahead." ............................................

i can only parallel park if there is space for me to do it like they taught us in driving school. but there is never enough space, damnit!

i had such a terrible day. work is all screwed up, there is major issues going on with management and all that crap. im not involved, but i still worry about it. i cant do anything about it, though. i wanted to kill one of my kids today....she was just driving me INSANE. so i got tough with her, and she informed me that i was not her favorite teacher anymore. boo hoo ya little brat. get out of my face already. im bitter, im sorry. its not even the issue that the kids are handicapped anymore....its the issue that they can be really SNOTS sometimes. i think its a teenager thing, though. all the kids around teenager-age are snooty lately. and im too tired to be able to deal with it rationally.

i hurt my shoulder again. my bad one. and it hurts very badly. im gonna take some tylenol pm before i sleep. and heating pads, like kristin said. cause ice makes it hurt worse.

im listening to a CD

"but of all these friends and lover there is no one compares with you"

:)

im getting sad now. its gonna be a long however-many-months until joe90 comes back. hopefully i can get in a peter stuart show, maybe guster, a few big d shows. should be good.

must go see old97s on letterman. sleep well. lots of love to ya*

"i cant remember the last thing that you said as you were leaving when the days go by so fast"
