Not sure yet how user-friendly it is, but it does seem to be reasonably fast. I'm going to try to start another thread to see it looks/works with more than one. At least we seem to be making some progress.

To answer my own question....when starting a thread there's an option to not receive email. Just in case anyone else was wondering...

There seems a lot of white space on the screens. Maybe that's because neeboddy's as verbose as me! Anyway - can we do fancy HTML things? Let's see about a picture link.

When you look at some of the other active foruns, it looks a bit better. I'm sure we could get used to it. How profane do we ****ing have to be to get a posting bounced???

It looks okay but it's going to get a bit confusing on the long threads isn't it? I think the other option is the delphi site. Boomer is too slow, Riks also and gets a bit muddled and the MSN can't be accessed by a lot of people from work. So it's either here or http://www.delphi.com/NewcastleUnited/start/ Having said that this would be a good home and as someone said before we were very spoilt on the BBS. My one big problem is that you have to be amember to read th threads and as a result new blood isn't likely to come in because you don't wnat to go through the memership hassle if it's not very good do you? Now I know that it is very good but M.Agpie isn't until he (or she) logs in and will probably think twice about it.

I think if sites like Rik's and nufc.com send people in this direction we will generate new blood as we always have done. I can't remember how I found Communicata - presumably via another site or summick.

Ooohhhh!

I take it this is your latest design Improvement. It's getting there. OK time for my constructive critcism.

1)The top field I believe should extend halfway down the page, to show a greater range of "subject headings".

2) I liked it before when you had the subject headings and not all the posts associated with them.
