I'm finally going to purchase a film scanner after months of deliberation. Only problem is that i can't decide between the Nikon LS2000 SuperCoolscan and Minolta Dimage Elite. On paper they have very similar specs (inc ICE and Multi-scanning) but the Minolta is #250 cheaper. I can find plenty of comments concerning the Nikon, but none on the Elite. Anybody out there have first hand experience of the Elite?

I use a minolta scanspeed which has similar specs except for the digital ice and multiscanning. I can't speak for the digital ice, however the results otherwise are quite good. Check out the scanner reviews on this page re scan differences. I like the resolution of the minolta scanners.
