TV Guide Award

I was just watching the TV Guide awards, and ER won for best dramatic series. I was so glad to see that happen! After some of my other favorites didn't win, I was hoping that ER would get the award, and it did. I'm glad to see the show being appreciated by so many people! :)

It's so great to see a wonderful show like ER get the accolades it deserves. I hope Julianna Margulies wins for best dramatic actress. I can't believe the no one from ER got nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. It's a disgrace. I don't plan on even watching the SAG Awards. Anyway, congratulations to ER for the TV Guide award.

I was so happy that ER won best drama and dissapointed it didn't win anything else. I thought it was odd that when Kingston and McCrane were accepting all the people you could see in the background were new this season.

i thought i saw anthony edwards there, and was surprised he wasnt accepting, being on the cast longer than the rest. please someone tell me if he wasnt there! and, where were the others??

Alexis,

I think Anthony Edwards was there but he presented an award earlier and probably wasn't at his seat when ER won the award. I don't know where everyone else was but it was funny when Alex Kingston got up she said that on stage was the next generation of ER. I thought that was funny since she was right. None of the original cast was there. Also, it was funny when McCrane said that him and Kingston were like Beauty and the Beast! :) I'm so glad they won.

Carin,

I didn't know none of them was nominated for a SAG award! That is horrible! They are the best cast of any show on television! But at least the fans know what they are talking about!

ER received a SAG nomination for best performance by an ensemble in a dramatic series.

Ok, this is just something that I noticed, but why was Maura Tierney wearing a black and white suit while all of the other women were wearing nice dresses?

katie maybe she is gay? Ellen dresses that way too, or maybe it is just a fashion statement.i was awondering that myself.

i thought i saw anthony edwards walk up there with them , and standing kinda behind them on stage.

Perhaps the older characters were not to happy about not having enough fan support to garner nominations, except for Julianna Margalese, who is leaving at sesons end.

julianna should have one...or at least alex kingston should have been nominated...instead melina kardenenes[ i have no clue how to spell her name] won!

Maura Tierney is married.

So, ER is nominated for a SAG Award. I stand corrected. Maybe I'll tape it and fast forward through all the rest of the boring stuff.

I find it ridiculous that Julianna, who won the SAG award 2 years in a row, wasn't even nominated this year. WHAT is up with THAT. :-P

Maybe if we all subscribe to TV guide, then we would have more ER cast nominated for this award. As for the SAG awards, there wasn't much suspense, good plots, or good acting that happened last year. That is why they didn't get nominated. For your information, the people who vote and nominate for the SAG awards are the actors themselves.

Yes, I know who votes for the SAG awards. Anyone who is a member of SAG can vote. Like 98% of the members of SAG aren't working actors. I had many friends who voted. Anyway, ER *was* nominated as a whole.

Regarding JM not getting a SAG nomination -- I was appalled!! Anyhow, seeing as this falls in the middle of the television season, is it for the actors' work in the past season, the current season, or a combination of both? If she submitted "Great Expectations" and didn't receive a nomination, then that's a crying shame and I have a bone to pick with QUITE a few people!!
