I really like the tonality on this. Had she been wearing, say, a white shirt (it helps to have some clothing in a "fashion" shot!), I'm sure this would have been more than enough of a fashion look to impress the agency (even though the model is only average).

i agree with the concept broached in john's post; the image needs less gray tonality and more stark white. the easiest way to manage that would have been through the use of clothing (or covering) of a bright white tone.

She does have that "frying-pan-to-the-back-of-the-head" expression, though. I'd be most concerned about a better rapport with the model if this was the best offered, or maybe just a more actively engaged model. Try yelling "EMOTE dammit! EMOTE!" (this last is a joke, do I need to say that?)... t

How do so many good portraits of people with the very tops of their heads cut off work so well? Interesting. If this wasn't so high-key, the left border and right arm boundry being butted together would be awkward. But this one doesn't. Nice work. I'd like to be able to work with lovely looking people like this.
