I just logged on and noticed someone below is imitating me. I have two trolls who have been tailing me for months and obviously they're not going to give up. Furthermore, they're taking advantage of my situation, because anyone who reads my posts knows I've been staying at my brother's house and taking care of my niece. Obviously, they're taking advantage of this and signing on as me. Is there anyway to stop that? I know people have used my handle in the past at TB and the sysops could tell they were doing it and deleted them. I imagine this will probably continue in the future, and I assure you, it causes me a great deal of pain when I see it happening. (I'm willing to take responsibility for my own bitchiness, but not someone elses.)

I can't stop it, can you? I realize some people can recognize me based on my vocabulary, content, and style of writing, but there are a lot of people who can't because they've never read anything I've written.

I'd like to state right here and now, that I have no intention of spamming this forum. As a matter of fact, while I've been staying at my brother's house, I've had time to reflect on what transpired over the last couple of months and I'd like to posit a couple of theories relating to censorship. My theories might help you combat the problems you will face when working with people without a common goal.

Love that flower of yours. I posted infrequently on the old TimeBomb2000 board. But I did a LOT of lurking. And was fortunate (unfortunate) enough to catch you in action. The only time I'd seen spamming attacks in action over the past 4 years I've been on the net --- was seeing how YOU disrupted the forum, where all I could see on the screen were isolated, hateful B.S. comments that you repeated over and over until they filled up the entire screen. I really got disgusted with what you were doing. Really pathetic. What a way to get your jollies. You must have a pretty empty life outside of the net.

This is from "Old Git" on the new board. It explains a lot why the new forum was created. IMHO - It had nothing to do with this so-called "censorship" that some of you guys keep on espousing. You already know that. But some new people coming to the board might not.

We also spent a lot of time trying to solve the problems of the spammers, writing to their ISPs with evidence, calling them to see what else we could do--all to no avail. We spent time too looking for an alternative site that met as many of our needs as possible.

With the old forum, we'd see an "alert" come in on e-mail that an attack was underway and we'd rush to the computer to sit down and start deleting. One recent memorable night we deleted over a thousand spams in seven hours. We lost a lot of our innocence, gullibility and tolerance. When it came time to exclude people from this forum, we erred on the side of caution--very heavily.

I came to the team late in the game, around Christmas. I really didn't want to spend the time for many reasons, but thought I ought to help with any troll problems around rollover. When the old forum went down, I was able to help in contacting everyone over at Bok's and collecting e-mails for notification, while Diane collected even more at the TB yahoo mailbox from the temporary forum that stayed up for a little while. By pooling all those addresses, we were able to keep people in touch with what was happening at a crucial time for all of us.

We didn't mind doing any of this because it was, after all, selfish--we wanted to keep this source of information and camaraderie too! But at the same time, we've become s very, very weary of trolls, whether polite or ill-mannered, and we simply cannot continue to spend the same sort of time at the keyboard any more.

It always amazed me, that while there were thousands of posts over several years - For some weird reason, you took the time to compile a list of the most extreme comments from a very small group of people ... who were not representative of the entire forum ... over a several year period. And, would then post them over and over and over again. Didn't you have anything better to do with your life? What a weird hobby. What have you been trying to prove? Can't figure it out. And this "censorship" B.S. doesn't cut it.

I like having Caller ID on my telephone. I can pick and choose who I want to talk with.

I LOVE that sweet, little flower you now post with your name. You're one cool cookie. Where's my cowboy boots when I need them?? ... to wade thru all of this syrupy stuff ... abd see that cute little flower you're now attaching to the end of your posts.

Manure is a very good fertilizer for flowers. Guess your garden will do very well.

You know what's interesting? I never cussed on a bulletin board until recently; just sheer aggravation and frustration I guess.

However, my best friend is a professor at a well-respected college and she can cuss a blue streak! (She only does it in the company of us girls though.)

I THRILLED that StinkBomb is going underground. Even more, I wish I could stay here and party with you guys, but I have to get back to the hospital.

My niece is in the hospital because she started having seizures at cheerleading practice, and she's going to be in for tests for awhile.

TODAY IS A DAY I'VE WAITED FOR, FOR MONTHS, and I can't fully enjoy it because I have familial obligations. I feel like I'm cursed! What in the universe could have transpired to have all of this happen within 12 hours? (Please note that while I'm feeling sick about my neice, I'm stepping lighter and have a smile on my face because Your's Done.)

I'll be back when I can, but it's going to be awhile because I'm going to stay at my brothers for awhile to take care of Lindsay. What timing! If anyone has the expertise required to find me, they'll have to wait a few days, and maybe that will be enough time for them to cool off. I won't be posting from his house because I'm paranoid now...I don't want anyone finding out who he is.

As long as I'm here I'd like to mention that I'm really sick of AOL. I was booted about every five minutes during my spamming sessions yesterday, and I'm tired of the time they spend "updating" my system every week.

I'm going to dump them in a couple of days, and I'll send my new address to those of you I e-mail anyway.
