New OK O' Suit

A few notes about the new OK suit:

The material is supplex-like nylon. It seems to be more durable than the nylon used in most European O' suits.

There are a few new design elements. There is a white stripe under the arm (it makes it look as if the leg stripe just continues on to the top). There is some additional white trim on the collar and around the wrists.

The club name can be embroidered on the back (sorry it does not show up in the photo). You can also get your name embroidered on the front.

The pants are a bit loose-fitting. At first it felt strange, but I quickly got used to the somewhat baggy look.

Can anyone tell where this photo was taken?

Your back yard?

Your back yard?

Dan, that is a good guess. But, it is not correct.

I'll take Wyandotte Lake for $200.

I'll take Wyandotte Lake for $200.

Another good guess. But, still not right.

Your mom's house?

Another reasonable guess...and another wrong guess.

Here is a hint. The photo was taken just before I went for a O' practice.

What is SMP?

-- Snorkel (daniel.meenehan@umb.com), March 07, 2000.

What is SMP?

Nope. There aren't all that many options left.

Can I venture Ft. Leavenworth?

Another good try...and another miss. You did get the correct state.

If you have a real player (a internet plug in that plays real audio and real video files) check out a new show:

http://real.photopoint.com/meglin% 40juno.com/slideshows/oksuit1.htm

If you listen carefully, you will learn where (roughly) the photo was taken.

I was going to guess the place you mentioned on the real audio cast (given it's a sunny day and the green tree looked familiar). Neat recording.. many people run in front of me. . . and look back; should I run backwards so they continue to see only the back?

I swear I was thinking of the place mentioned in the audio before I listened to it. I have warm memories of the place where I did my first fieldchecking ever.

I knew it was Clinton. I suspect it was the day I did the training with Spike (we ran a course with three to four short legs separated by a long leg, then repeating the pattern... and it was a nice day). Now, I'm curious as to the time of day -- judging by the shadows it was just before I arrived at 11 am -- and the direction the camera was pointed -- again judging by the shadows, due west.
