LCD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

First of all I want to say that I really enjoy your website. It has so much information and has made me much more knowledgeable about digicams. I do not need to jump from site to site to get all of my info. - you guys have it all here. Thanks......

So my question is in regards to the LCD for the Casio QV-8000SX. On 10-Fed-00 Amy Hopkins (an Intermediate digital photographer) wrote a review for your site. Under the Weaknesses she mentioned how the LCD was too light in direct sun but she said it was fixable with a $10 SHIELD. I now own this camera and would love to invest in this shield she mentioned. Please inform me of any info that you may have in regards to this product.

thanks and again great job on the site,

Luis E. Torres

Phil Williams makes a unit for the Kodak DC260-290, may have a unit to fit the Casio. His site is: http://www.photosolve.com/ Also try Hoodman USA, at http://www.hoodmanusa.com/ Finally, you could try the JAR sunshield, from: http://hometown.aol.com/esc2000/Sunshield.htm

Good luck! (My guess is it was probably a Hoodman you heard about, they seem to have the widest variety of models.)
