Some bad news about next season

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

I don't know how to say this to you guys, but I just realized that we won't be able to see new episodes of ER until probably october. It's because NBC will broadcast the olympics this fall. If you don't know, the olympics this year is in Australia which has opposite seasons than the US. NBC will also televise the divisional playoffs in baseball and probably also the world series which could last until mid-october. On the other hand, the good thing about this is that there will be fewer repeats next season.

What do you guys think?

If it's true, and ER doesn't start new until October, it would be upsetting. However, it would be nice around March when all they show is reruns (like now).

Baseball hasn't been a problem for ER in the past. NBC usually goes out of their way not to broadcast games on Thursday night. (They did last year, anyways). There will definitely be a missed ER for the World Series, however, since game 5 would occur on a Thursday night.

Uh, I'm starting to wonder how badly I'm going to want to watch ER next season. While the storyline regarding Lucy has been interesting, not much else this season has been. I'm finding that I'm forgetting about Thursday evenings.

can i just point out that us poor UK viewers have to wait until JANUARY for the new season?

how unfair is that?

and we don't get half as many reruns as in the states!
