You can follow Mikell Platt's training on the web.

Mikell "Swampfox" Platt has started a training diary on the web. As a long-time reader of Mikell's page (I've been reading it since Monday night), I can recommend it. I expect it will get more-and-more interesting in the coming months. Mikell is going to Sweden in March for several month's of intense orienteering.

The page is at: http://www.forestfeet.homestead.com/

Just to give you a taste of what Mikell's training diary includes, here is a quote from the February 29th entry.

Kent Olsson has said that he thought that course setting was a very valuable form of training as it forces the runner to look at the map and legs from a different viewpoint. Kent made it a point to regularly be involved in course setting. And before he won his world championship (Hungary, 1983), Morten Berglia was the course setter--as a junior!--for the 1978 World Championships in Norway. I've spent a lot of time myself course setting over the years, and there's no doubt in my mind either that it's a valuable form of training.

Of course, OK members may also be interested in the on-line training logs that Mook and I maintain (which must have been major influences on Mikell's on-line training logs). They are both linked from http://www.geocities.com/okansas.geo/relay2k.html.
