The Works Of Edgar Alan Poe (1908 The Werner Company)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

Does anyone out there know the history of a complete set of 10 volumns titled "The Works Of Edgar Alan Poe" which was printed in 1908 by the Werner Company of Akron , Ohio and distributed only to members of "The Chesterfield Society" (limited to 1000 editions)? I have this complete set, and am interested in learning more about its history. Thank you.

Dude you're gay. Who cares? No one. I bet you haven't even gotten one lousy response. You should just give up because no one likes you.

I honestly don't know, but I wanted to yell at the people who gave you such mean answers. I'm not Mary Sunshine or anything, but it it isn't really that hard to be a little nicer.

I think that if you have anything knowledge to the question than answer it, if not then dont make rude remarks. He only wanted to know the history of important books. And the rudeness was not needed!!!

don't know about the value, but to someone with a great interest in his works, like me, would find great interest in it. Hey, could you find a quote? It's something like this, "I have become insane through long amounts of horrible sanity, " but I know it's not quite right. I love that idea. Thanks. By the way, it's disturbing to see in all the insolent comments you've received the impotence that's infesting the world. People of no respect or intelligence should keep it to themselves.

i'm sorry, but i can't give you an answer, but what i cna give you is some encouragement to continue your search. i think that those ppl who gave you rude remarks should have never answered at all. if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. good luck in your search.
