Okay folks. I'm tired and the amount of data regarding Leap Day is starting to wane. So, I'll leave the approximately 60 related stories on the board for a day or two, but, most rehash pretty much the same thing. Here's a direct link.

Thanks and goodnight, I'm hitting the rack... UB

TNX UB, for a job well done, and done again and again and again. Thanks also for preserving those little stockmarket index snapshots of the variant levels of the DOW. Gee ... can't help but think, small as it is, these things are signhificant. If I were a PLAYER, I could bet anstsy and even worry about the effect of a 2.5 hour NASDAQ outage, or two consecutive shutdowns on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the Frankfurt Bourse going down last Friday, problems with Schwab, etc. -- strangely seeming to become MORE COMMON two months after the rollover than they were in early January.

Luckily -- as Joseph Almond points out -- its only money anyway, and - like him, I presume -- none of these people will really mind shedding their excess capital (oh, sorry: tautology) during brokerage or internet outages of indeterminable lengths. AND, as for the 2-3 variant closing values for the DOW that you posted @ GLITCH CENTRAL -- well, let me just say this! if the DJIA starts following say 2, 3, or even 7 separate tracks depending on which brokerage firm or website you log onto ... HEY! it's COOOOL! It makes the ride down that much more excieting becuase you'll NEVER REALLY KNOW precisely WHEN or WHETHER you're going to hit bottom, or if maybe you already have.

Have a nice ride, Joe!
