I was wondering if anyone tried to do calm problems yet. I can't figure how to do problems 951863154 and 951863746. I don't know what i am doing wrong. Thanks!

For problems 951863154 and 951863746 are you using the procedure like in example 10.7 on page 418 of the text? The Appendix you want to use is Appendix 4, which starts on page A21 of your text.

for instance, problem 951863746 is a reaction of 3NO <-> 1N2O + 1NO2 if we do the procedure in ex. 10.7 (using values you find in App. 4)and find the delta S by summing the S of reactants and subtracting from that the sum of the S of the reactants we find delta S to be -173.

Delta S = Sum (S products) - Sum (S reactants) = (220 J/mol K + 240 J/mol K) - (3*211 J/mol K) = (460 J/mol K) - (633 J/mol K) = -173 J/mol K
