Would you please let me know if it's normal to hear a "clicking" sound when pressing the "four-way controller" shuttle dial on the Kodak DC-290, or do I have a defective camera? I heard no such sounds out of either the Fuji MX-700 nor the Olympus C-2000Z. Thank you for your responses.

The sound you have heard is absulately normal. It is not a defective camera. You can be cool. If any problem you may encounter with your camera I will do my best as information.

That is normal. You can set it so that you won't hear the clicking sound - along with all other sounds beside the zoom mechanism.
