Downloading digital flash card

Please help me !!!I've been trying and trying, to download the flash card from my new minolta dimage ex 1500/ver 2 camera.....after trying many things that were suggested by the software company (came with camera) I recently downloaded an updated version of the software...still no luck... I'm wondering about drivers...and serial ports? I could really use some help if any good soul out there has the time:) would be more than appreciated... this new camera is sitting here and I'm dying to use it !!

Answers

First off, when you can get a serial port connection to work, it is the slowest method of transferring files. with that said, here are some possible solutions One possibility is that you have a bad serial cable. Depending on the computer, the manufacturer may have "turned off" the serial port to allow the modem to work. You would also want to check your CMOS settings and make sure the serial ports are set to bidirectional or EPP

(for the last one, you might want to call your PC support to have them walk you thru)

We need to know what happens when you try to download to your computer.Is any thing at all coming up on the screen? Does the computer reconize your computer at all? Do you have any USB ports so you may use a reader / writer for flash cards. This works much better.
