Text of a Leo Marks (UK wartime codemaker) poem

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Poetry : One Thread

A friend has asked me to help find a poem by Leo Marks who was a wartime codemaker in the UK and later went on to become more of a writer (wrote the screenplay for Peeping Tom). It started:

"The love that I have is all that I have...."

I believe that much of his poetry was originally written in the course of his duties as a codemaker, so it may be that few were published. I know that he has written a memoir but wouldbe grateful if someone could come up with the full text of the poem that starts with the line shown above.

Thanks.

Doh! I asked here without even thinking to check Deja beforehand!

"The life that I have is all that I have, And the life that I have is yours. The love that I have of the life that I have Is yours and yours and yours.

A sleep I shall have A rest I shall have, Yet death will be but a pause, For the peace of my years in the long green grass Will be yours and yours and yours." ~Leo Marks
