...how the DOW 10,000 barrier really doesn't mean anything and this is a great buying opportunity. Other news will be how profits are up, trade is wonderfull, yadda yadda yadda.

You guys know this song. And guess what. they won't have to lie.

"The DOW 10,000 barrier is not significant. It means nothing. It's physcological." Yup. That's true. But since we long since passed all traditional measures of what a stock is worth and have run headlong in to Over Valued land, stock prices have been based on nothing but "physcological" good feelings for two or three years.

Anyway, get ready for all the feel good blabber from the talking heads.

OK, Eyes Open, I can't stand it any longer. What exactly does "watch six" mean? j

Eileen, you are facing 12 o'clock with three at your right and nine at your left so six is behind you, therefore watch your back.

Almost makes you wish you were a dipster.

Ok, --,-, I can't stand it any longer. What exactly is a 'dipster'?

Problem would be that this time the dipster may end up in the dumpster too. This one "smells" plain wicked.

I'll stay in the cheap seats with TBills & CDs for now thank you very much.

He who buys this dip - is one. IMNATFHO !

canthappen,

A dipster is an investor who awaits a dip in the value of a stock. To the diehard dipster, this is a FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY to purchase said stock because, as *everyone* knows, according to the Wall Street propagandists, said stock is experiencing only a mild setback and shall soon resume its upward profitability.

This has worked well in this bull market for many favorite stocks, but other stocks known as *dogs* have not fared well. THAT is where the dipsters get burned...

The trend is your friend - Believe it!

In other words, the DOW is going down, don't buy on dips, however even though the NASDAQ is still going up, GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN! Of course, I don't need to say that on this forum, everyone here knows that.

See my analogy about the rats on the titanic seeking high ground on another stock thread a few below.

Who said that about the cheap seats, I'm with you.

In My Not All That F**king Humble Opinion

My apologies to one and all, past, present and future who may read these lines. I wrote the above without thinking, and I am therefore guilty of momentarily forgetting that I type before the world, and that others may actually read these lines too.

I will try to remember this should the occasion arise at anytime in the future.

Humility is not my strong suit. Believe me on that one.
