As far as we know,to be under contract doesn't prevent a cast member from planning an exit.Does anyone know if Carol won't be the last one?(I heard of Eriq La Salle and Alex Kingston but I hope it's not true)

Eriq La Salle threated to leave the show a few months back over racial inequality (I think). He didn't approve of the interracial relationship between his character and Dr. Corday. However, the writers and producers broke off that relationship, fixed him up with Dr. Finch and gave him a HUGE raise to sign on for a few more years. So Dr. Benton will be around to antagonize residents and interns for a few more seasons.
