"Mothers and Daughters?" -- 02/24/00?

Anyone else think this would have been a more appropriate title for last night's epi? Lucy's mom, Lizzie and her mother, the hit-and-run and her mom. . . it seemed to revolve a lot around this relationship. And it would have been a nice throwback to "Fathers and Sons".

Response to "Mothers and Daughters?"

Joy,

I can see your point--that would have been a good/appropriate title. However, I liked "Be Patient" because I thought it worked on several levels, as well: 1. Carter's situation--as a patient who must WAIT to heal. 2. Luka's mistake(?) in not waiting for the ambulance. 3. The "schoolgirls" who left before the one could get treatment for cervical cancer--and the subsequent suicide attempt by that one. After all, she probably wouldn't have attempted it, if she had given herself some time to think about things. 4. Finally, I think it may have been a message to all of us who were waiting on pins & needles for more closure from the last two episodes.

Just adding to Shari's list-- 5)As someone mentioned in another post, Malucci counseled Carol to wait for the bagging technique to work when she was anxious to intubate. 6)Peter has to wait for whatever usually comes after the jazz club :)

Actually "Parents and children" would have been accurate, but that just doesn't reach out and grab you, does it? I also noticed the emphasis on parent-child relationships with Lucy's mother, Elizabeth and her mother, Mark and his dad. Poor Mark! First his mother, then his father. I'm glad he's in a stable relationship for a change.
