mitch rossi still works there (as shift boss) and was happy to see me. that worked out to an instant comp & heat-free play. mitch's career path: 7Cedars, Suquamish, Drift On Inn. he knows exactly what's going on (though we politely don't talk about it). mitch was the shift-boss at 7Cedars when i started down this career path (back when they dealt good 1d, 2d & 6d games). he was also a shift-boss during one of the better heat-free periods at Suquamish.

the shuffle: triple-plug the cutoffs and riffle & restack from two piles. i only got one good tracking opportunity during my 45 minute session, but i made 1000 on that slug; by the end of the slug, the running count was -22 (hi-lo).
