Found this post on an earthquake prediction bulletin board -Oil pipe leaking in LA

Posted by Michele in Angeles Crest Posting: The evening news (KTLA News at 10) had a breaking news story. An oil pipe in Los Angeles (I missed the street and the specific city) has sprung a leak. There is crude oil leaking all over the street. The owners of the pipe have shut the oil flow off, and clean-up has begun. Michele

Posting: 12/13/99 4.0 in Yucaipa 12/14/99 Main break in Irvine (South Orange County) 12/29/99 3.2 in Yucaipa 12/30/99 Main break in Inglewood (L.A. area)

2/13/00 Main break in Beverly Hills (L.A. area) 2/14/00 4.4 in Ludlow

2/21/00 4.4 in Ludlow

2/23/00 Main break in Century City (L.A. area) 2/24/00 4.0 in Ludlow

The last two breaks occurred prior to the quake. The other two were after, I think. They are "after" according to posts, but I wonder exactly how close, prior or after, to the quake. We have to account for delay in news reports and posts.

Seems there is a connection between Los Angeles/Orange County and the Ludlow area!
