Image conversion

Is there any way I can open a image file (PICT) made with a McIntosh on my PC. I've tried to save the file to disk but the PC doesn't even recognize that the file is there.

As a Mac user, I know a PICT image, on a Mac, can be converted to many other formats, uncluding jpeg which works on the PC, using GraphConverter, a popular Mac shareware program. I would think there are PC programs that will do the same thing. Until you are informed of such a PC program, you could have a Mac user convert the image file, and e-mail it to

"Debabelizer" from Equilibrium should do the trick, I use it to open any non-photoshop file. It opens almost anything on the planet, even some weird .TIFFs that photoshop choked on. Its not cheap, I think it was about $320 so converting the PICT files to TIFF is a way easier and cheaper method if you have the time.
