NEED CAMERA THAT ALLOWS ON-SITE ADDRESS INPUT ONTO PICTURE TAKEN.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I TAKE MANY PICTURES OF HOMES PER DAY. I NEED DIGITAL CAMERA THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO ADD THE STREET ADDRESS TO THE IMAGE JUST TAKEN ON THE CAMERA. IT IS DIFFICULT TO KEEP TRACK OF ADDRESSES, ESPECIALLY, IF 100% ACCURACY IS REQUIRED. JUST LIKE THE DATE AND TIME ARE IMPRINTED ON THE CAMERA, I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO IMPRINT THE PROPERTY ADDRESS. ARE THERE ANY DIGITAL CAMERAS THAT HAVE THIS FEATURE?

STOP USING CAPS!! COMMON NETIQUETTE IS THAT UPPERCASES EMPHASIZE SHOUTING.

And with that out of the way, no there is nothing out there short of something attached to a notebook for you to easily type something while taking the picture. Look for cameras with voice stamping. You will find that much easier, certain cameras allow 20sec audio clips to accompany each picture, ie. so you can give a brief description.

A good solution to look at would be a digital camera that allows you to record a sound file along with the photograph. They use more memory but sound like they would be ideal for you. I don't know which specific ones you should look for but check specs.

No more caps, I am sorry. Believe: this was my first chat experience, should have looked up etiquette. Anyway, thanks for response. I first bought the Panasonic with the large storage, but it required each picture be tediously programmed, one at a time, to allow voice imput. I returned it and purchased the Kodak 290 with great success. Verbal inputs occur simply by pushing the sound button immediately after taking the picture. The time after the picture depends on your setting for post picture review. If you fail to place sound during the post picture review, you can select the review mode and simply add sound to the picture on the screen by pusing the sound button on back of camera to enter sound and repush the sound button when entry is finished. Thanks all, Al Stoll
