Which flashlight should I use with the nikon coolpix 950. Is there a recommendation outside the nikon brand sb28. Secondly are they available online?

I use an SB-28 on my Fuji MX2900.

The combination of focused flash, swivel head, powerful flash, and ease of setup convinced me that I made the right decision even though the SB-28 has features that cannot be utilized by my camera. The difference between the built-in flash and the SB-28 is remarkable.

Remember - if you purchase an SB-28 you are paying for features that cannot be used with the 950 either. The 950 can only fire the flash whereas the SB-28 can accept thru-the-lens information from some of the higher-end cameras.

I agree with the above evaluation on the SB-28. I have the SB-26 which I also use for my F-100, and the difference between it and the internal 950 flash is noticeable. If nothing else, the SB-XX type flashes will reduce the redeye effect, which the internal 950 flash does not always eliminate.
