What is Debunkers?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hi;. I've been reading the posts in here since the rollover and think this is a very interesting forum. I keep lurking and reading all the posts and see that there is some kind of war or animosity going on betwwen certain people. I keep seeing the word debunkers referred to. Is it a web site? Is that where the polly people hang out? I would just like to get up to speed. I wish I would have found this place last year. I was always in the Y2k news chat instead. They were a great bunch of folks, but seems as if there was a lot of excitement going on in here. Thanks,Ramona

Ramona, DeBunkie is DeFunctie, but the words of wisdom (?!) remain at http://stand77.com/wwwboard/board.html. You won't be able to post anything, which is probably just as well. Trust me on this one.

"Polly people"...I love it! Don't bother looking for the Debunkers site, anyone that had anything to say that was worth listening to has moved on with their lives. LadyLooney has taken over the BFI site as here own personal narcissistic playground.

I'm not sure why you're disappointed that you didn't find this site last year. In case you hadn't noticed (by the standards set forth by the regular posters on this board) y2k didn't even come close to being a "bump in the road". As for now, unless you want to see news stories with a slant towards conspiracy and cover-up theories, you should probably just keep on surfin' to the next site.

Just my $0.02. Go ahead and flame away.

Tim

When are you going to finish college and move out of your parents basement?

Now, ya know, Tim DOES have a point. Too many of us have real thick calouses on the subject of "Topic".

Tim--Looney Lady just said good bye over at Biffy's for the last time (yeh, right)!

Ramona--Debunker's is a good site to visit, it will give you an idea of how they think and you get a variety of personalities over there. They also cut and paste items from here to use over there for fun and games. Debunker's is closed down but a fun place to visit.

Here's Lady's 100th farewell......

2085. For the last time, I'm outta here... by laura, Feb 22, 10:00

The majority of the people on the internet are too stupid for me to waste my time on.

A month or two ago, I thought most of the DeBunker's were pretty smart folks, but after getting to know some of them, I realize MOST of the people hanging around internet chatrooms are NUTS, myself included.

Witnessing Cherri degenerate into a whining, leaking, fool who neglects her kids, has been painful. (Cherri, I thought you were AWESOME at one time. This just goes to prove that you can't really know someone until you've known them for a long time.)

Anita - I never had any respect for you.

CJS/John - Sorry I "outed" you, but you're a player.

Netghost - You're lucky Charlie's on your side. (Even though you're as DUMB as a rock.)

Zif - You're still the smartest kid I've ever met.

Chuck - You rule dude.

Paul - Thanks for the space, I've offered to pay for it, but apparently bandwidth isn't all that expensive?

Dirt Road - God Bless ya, man.

FactFinder - I'm sorry I told you to kiss my butt.

I'm still gonna spam StinkBomb on ocassion, but I've got a new business to start, so it's time to go.

(Go ahead now, dance on my grave. I'm going to go party with REAL people.)

Geez, too many Tims here. :-)

This place is STILL one of the better places on the net...

Chuck: I agree. The forum's evolved to constantly wandering OT, but still, the rapier wit and useful news make it worth revisiting.
