The Committee for Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy has granted permission to start up the No 1 Reactor Unit at the KozloduyNuclear Plant, states an announcement issued by the committee.

The unit was shut down six months ago for planned maintenance and refuelling, but its commissioning was delayed by two months beyond the planned date due to problems with checks on the reactor shell.
