For some VCDs I burned fast forward (search forward) is inoperating on my standalone Philips DVD 710 player, but is OK on my computer. For other ones it's OK. Where am I wrong? Thanks for help.

It is a firmware problem with the Phillips player. A upgrade for the 825 is supposibly in the works (not sure if the 710 is upgradable). I got tired of waiting, and returned my 825 for a Pioneer 525 (it works perfectly).

What a coincidence....I did exactly the same thing. I love the Pioneer. Philips tried to convince me it was a software issue.

I have the same problem with the Philips 825 DVD player. But vcd created on a mac using m.pack work fine??
