Is Fritz OK?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

I heard on the news last night that a woman and a man had been shot to death in Holton Kansas and there was another man who police had in a standoff situation( or maybe he was dead too). The dead man was the son of the woman. The man in the standoff was the husband of the woman. Doesn't Fritz, Bobby and Kenton live in Holton? Is it a coincidence they match the description of the family given on the news? How many families live in Holton that match this decription?

This is actually the second time I've heard this question today.

Fritz, Bobbi and Kenton are fine. Fritz may even do some O' training on Presidents' Day.

So far as I can tell the big news coming out of Holton this weekend is that the China Buffet Restaurant (formerly the Taystee Freeze) is now open for business.

However, I constantly scan the AP wires and will see if anything about Fritz turns up.

Strangely enough Fritz did not show up at the training yeasterday. Someone called Spikes answering machine claiming to be Fritz saying Kenton was sick so he could not make the training. Has anybody besides Spike heard from Fritz? Is he really OK?

I am OK. The young man who alledgedly shot his parents to death (mom was a child psychiatrist and dad a retired computer professor), a deputy and his dog (deputy had on protective armor, dog didn't), then shot himself and burned the house is much older than Kenton. Kenton's illness is bronchitis and we saw the doctor yesterday. He's doing better now.

Besides, all this happened southeast of Hoyt, about 15 miles or more from here.

And the Chinese restraunt opened last July! Bobbi doesn't like their food so much. I guess they use lots of dark meat in the chicken dishes. More impressive is the new Taco Bell and Subway shop. I tell you, those Casinos sure have a way of inducing growth. What we really need is a coffee shop on the town square for after those tough workouts at the gym!
