dancing in the streets

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

sooo i got home at 4am last night, and pretty much got in trouble. heh* its all really complicated, but i dont think ill make it to the long island show. which sucks. but that just means joe90 has to come play in northampton (pearl street pearl street iron horse iron horse iron horse)

i figured i traveled a whopping total of 1,627 miles to see joe90 this last week. thats pretty friggin cool. the drive last night wasnt so bad. just really dark. i followed the joe90 van all the way down 212 to 87. then they went south and i went north. and it was over.

i got my pictures back! donna and i got some beautiful pictures of craig, a few cool chrisgaryadamcraig ones on stage, i *think* we have a gary-mid-clap one....and a few other fun ones. im gonng try to scan ASAP. im just really really busy after blowing off schoolwork for a week. yanno.

i have no joe90 content except to say that its all about joe90, and i sang and danced with my manager's 6 yr old daughter to *just a dream* this afternoon at work.

i had such an incredible time this week. i dont know who to thank, or how to thank them. its been incredible and beautiful and amazing all at once. and i am really really sad i cant go to the LI show....but unfortunately, life has to go on. i cant be a rocknroller foreva*

stay safe in this snow**

It feels wierd to be home....I just crawled out of bed and I'm confused...isn't there a show tonight? How far do I have to drive? I need DIRECTIONS! I took off early this morning to beat the snow, I'm glad everyone else made it home safely. I know you guys are waiting for a review...I'm really beat and not thinking very clearly but I'll do my best and hopefully someone else can fill in what I miss.

What an incredible week. And last night was a show I'm really glad I went to. I think of all of them, it had the most energy. They sounded really tight and LOUD! I wish you all could have been there. The doors opened early so we were able to be there for soundcheck...we got to hear a little impromtu version of Hanginaround and Get Back. (which sounded great, you guys should definately add that one to the setlist!) The show was amazing as usual, the first 1/2 hour was the webcast (did anyone hear it? were we loud?) and after that they took a quick break. One of the highlights was their friend Neil who used to play in a band with Chris and Gary go up on stage to play drums, Adam Hamilton grabbing a guitar, and them totally rocking out to a Rolling Stones Medley....Sympathy for the Devil, You Can't Always Get What You Want and for the life of me I can't think of the other song right now.

Other highlights included Barb showing up unexpectedly, seeing Josh again and singing Ferris Wheel with him, the radio guy who was taking incredible digital pictures of the guys all night and who I think is going to be a new hardcore Joe 90 fan (he made me feel a little less obsessive when he told me he'd seen the Pushstars over 60 times!), a beautiful and comdedic version of Look, (thank you Chris!) singing to Just a Dream again, and the song that Chris and Adam wrote and played (Adam on guitar again) called Stop or Go....sorry, I'm still half asleep and can't remember. Aimee, Jill?

(The complete setlist was: Blurred, Ferris Wheel, Truth, Everybody's One, Drive, Why Don't We Do it in the Road, November Bombs, When You Arrive, Cars Go By, Flatline Static, Lift Me Up, the Rolling Stones thing, Look, Just a Dream and the new one with Chris and Adam-I just asked Aimee, we think it's Stop)

There wasn't much of a crowd, but the guys played their hearts out to the few of us that were there. I'm still in awe of how talented they all are. I hope you guys had as much fun as we did, thank you thank you and thank you again!!!

See some of you Sunday...I'm going back to bed until it's time to leave for the show :)

love-

Sue

you guys need to get to scanning - 100 photos of my own arent enough, i want to see everyones! i think the entire east coast blipped me today while i was sleeping - sorry about that. :x. Tom wants his own screen name now. What have i created? geesh.

i hope everyone has a happy friday (whats left to you east coast girls) and a happy saturday! Tomorrow has its ups and downs. The Cure show is tomorrow (listen to me cry. someone who saw the SF show last night said it was like...allllllll disintigration and pornography. wahhhh), and KROQ is broadcasting it. HOWEVER - Pay Per View is broadcasting the Las Vegas Tori Amos show from this past year - and i'm going to be on camera sooooooooo much. they had it in my face. this was that pivitol show if anyone remembers my big tori post from early january. the one where she flipped 'us' off. anyhow. im rambling.

but i love and miss all you guys and girls! stay warm and healthy. smooches! erin <- caligirl.

Hey All,

Sue, Jill, and Aimee have pretty much covered all bases on the Woodstock show. It was a truly amazing evening and it was even better that there were "hardcore" Joe 90 fans there. Sue - I'll sing Ferris Wheel with you anytime! Aimee - thanks again for your generosity and enthusiasm (and for maintaining this page!) All you girls are amazing and hopefully we'll all dance and sing to the joyous toons of Joe 90 again! Take care of yourselves until then!

Happy Trails, Josh
