Any info on Depot in Sharon, Georgia

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Central of Georgia Railway Historical Soc : One Thread

I recently moved and rennovated the railroad depot from Sharon, Georgia (between Crawfordville and Washington). I made into my home. I come from a long line of railroad engineers, trainmasters, etc. I would like to know when the depot was built and anyother information. I was told that it was part of the Georgia Railroad. Thanks for your help.

This info is from Bob Hanson's book on THE HISTORY OF THE GEORGIA RAILROAD- "Located 4.21 miles from Barnett- Known as Raytown until 1887. Agency station until 7-31-57. Last Agent-George Darden. Sidetracks held 32 cars." Congrats on securing a piece of RR history, and I hope this info helps.
