What kind of intergallactic explorer are you?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Xeney : One Thread

Here are my results: QGMT: Strategist
Sitting in the background, the Strategist schemes to change the course of history. For the Strategist, it is more important to be just than to be righteous. The Strategist's plans are brilliant - now if only someone would listen.
My plans are brilliant, you know. Someday, you will all discover the truth, and you'll know I was right all along.

i'm a: QEHR: Fixer
The Fixer knows how to avoid the red-tape, whether you need a vehicle part or help with the local laws. And the Fixer always knows where to find the best of everything, from food and drink to tuxedos and gowns.

your party-planning connection, right here.

QEMT: Engineer The Engineer can fix your warp drive or build you a new one from spare parts. You can find the Engineer tearing something apart or conducting destructive testing.

(no destructive testing but i do spend a lot of time putting patients back together)

Your Intergalactic Explorer Type is QEHT - Medic

Whatever ails you, the Medic can handle it: cure your hangover or glue your arm back on. Quietly efficient, the Medic can remove that ruptured spleen almost before you start to bleed.

Yeah, like anyone would entrust their spleen to me!

I'm sure the reason I got Q instead of L for sociability is because I don't drink. :P

Based on how they describe the factors and how I think of myself, I really feel I should have gotten LGHT: Interpreter The Interpreter can get by in dozens of languages and can read the facial expressions of many NTs. The Interpreter knows what that NT really said.

First time I took it I was an entreprenur (LEMR - lemur?) and the second time I was a smuggler (LEHR).

Based on both of the explainations.

I'm Han Solo.

Yeah yeah, laugh it up fuzzball..

Like Cathy, QEMT--The Engineer.

I'd be willing to do any destructive testing the Strategist might require. All those brilliant plans need a practical, hands-on type.

"QGHT: Priest When the emptyness of intergalactic space begins to close in on you, the Priest is there to remind you of your place in the grand scheme. The Priest can often resolve conflicts using empathy in place of violence."

Though you know, what I _really_ wanna be, is the Interpreter. *sigh*

"LEMT: Trader Always out there making the deal, the Trader is known everywhere. The Trader is hardheaded, determined and calculating. "

I am an engineer so the calculating part is correct. I don't think of myself as hardheaded though, I'm just right 99.9% of the time.

cute test! like beth, i'm a QGMT strategist, which appears to be the equivalent of the keirsey INTJ.

in the past when i've taken the proper keirsey test, i usually came up ISTJ, which would translate to QEMT engineer in this version.

-- Anonymous, February 18, 2000

Well, I got LEMR - the Entrepreneur first, but I'm sure I'm not that ruthless. (I can't argue with the loud part though..) Anyway, I changed a couple of answers and ended up as a Smuggler (LEHR)

So, I guess I'm either Han Solo or Mar (hi Mar..)

-- Anonymous, February 18, 2000

first time- QEMT: engineer.
second time- QEHT: medic.

-- Anonymous, February 18, 2000

Another QEMT-Engineer (with an INTJ on the regular test!)

Definite typecasting - I *am* an Engineer. But this time around my responses are probably biased by all the Murray Leinster and Robert Heinlein stories I read as a kid.

LGMR: Explorer
Been there, done that. The Explorer has seen it all and done most of it. The Explorer is adaptable and clever, and never gets involved with the natives. You can rely on the Explorer to cover your back, but not to remember your birthday.

This is weird - this really isn't me at all. I'm adaptable and clever, sure, but I like getting to know the natives. I suppose I'd cover someone's back, but I never, ever forget birthdays.

It has, however, been one of those very weird, very bad, no-good days for me, so maybe that has influenced my test. I do feel like mindlessly kicking some ignorant ass tonight....

Kidding! (sorta)... Heather

Like Beth, I'm a QGMT - Strategist. Seems fairly accurate to me. I think you're right about the Keirsey connection too...I always come out an INTJ in that one. I wish this test told us how high we scored in the various categories; I always think that's the most interesting part.

QEMT Engineer -- Right. I can't install a dishwasher, change a light fixture without serious trouble, or cut a piece of wood to the right length. I know because I try most every weekend. Apparently the quiz can't distinguish between what you enjoy doing and what you're good at.

QEMR: Scientist
The Scientist is always coming up with a new theory: how the universe started, how it will end, why humans still fear the dark. The Scientist has trouble communicating with lesser minds, and is often found hard at work and alone.

You know... that's not the first time I've been compared to Spock, although I try to avoid coming up with theories for things I can't test. lol...

QEMT: Engineer

A maiden and an Engineer were sitting in the park The Engineer was working on some research after dark His scientific method was a marvel to observe While his right hand held the figures, his left hand traced the curves

My father peddles opium, my mother's on the dole My sister used to walk the streets but now she's on parole My brother runs a restaurant with bedrooms in the rear But they don't even speak to me, 'cause I'm an Engineer

LEHR: Smuggler -- I always new I had a little bit of Han Solo in me. Not the part I wanted, but hey. . . *smack smack smack*

-- Anonymous, February 18, 2000

>>>LEMR: Entrepreneur New planets, new markets, new opportunities. The Entrepreneur follows the profits and lets no one get in the way. Loud and flamboyant, the Entrepreneur often succeeds by sheer will power. <<<

Not exactly spot on, this one.

QEMR Scientist...

QEMR: Scientist.

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

See what you meant about the Keirsey-type angle to this one. I wound up being QEMT. "The Engineer can fix your warp drive or build you a new one from spare parts. You can find the Engineer tearing something apart or conducting destructive testing." That so? Well if I'm so bloody smart why haven't I built myself a new computer with Pentium III, 128Mb RAM and 13Gb hard drive to replace the crappy 75MHz, 8Mb RAM and 850Mb drive I currently have? Riddle me THAT. And I thought Keirsey didn't understand me, though I now realise it understands me better than this one. Though it's surprisingly not far off on the destructive part; if I could've driven an axe into Netscape this past week I'd have done it

am i the only one..i got mr.-guru- i'll try again at another time.

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

LEMT - Trader.

Considering in real life I work in retail, that's pretty funny.

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

Sadly, I seem to be one of the crowd...I got Engineer, too...which makes sense since I'm always bug-testing *something*...

And, according to Keirsey, I'm a "rational fieldmarshal." I'm eNTj -- expresive, introspective, tough-minded, and scheduling. I'd *thought* I was an Artisan. Phooey!

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

I'm a QEMR: Scientist, which is pretty close overall. In Myers-Briggs I'm an INTP. What I wonder is, what's the personality type for the person who responds "Fuck this! I ain't wasting my day slogging through these dopey questions." I think all these tests have a secret category for such people called S

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

I'm an Engineer. Figures.

(Keirsey: INTP.)

Iko, you can't quote the Engineer's Drinking Song unless you're actually at MIT. Come up to Boston and I'll buy you beer and you and Debby can see how many verses of it you can remember between you.

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

Strategist, which I'm interpreting to mean Useless Know-it-all. At least the Guru is enlightened.

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

Beth, you shoulda had us tell our Kiersey thingies too.

I've been wavering between INTJ and INFJ for years.

I think I'm gonna go take it again.

-- Anonymous, February 19, 2000

I've taken the Keirsey test a few times, and have always come out a strong ENFP which doesn't correlate with the Entrepreneur (LEMR) or the Smuggler (LEHR)

I think I should have been a Bard.

Lute anyone..??

I am a
