SYSOPS-There really is no technology to deny LL access to board?

Not using Phil's software unless Phil himself sits down and does it. He has a LOT of other things to do that have a LOT higher priorities.

That's in Philip Greenspun's hands. I've left a message on his voice mail.

We're working on AOL to TOS her... finally. They need to "see" what she is doing.

The Sysops always have had the ability to "take the forum private" within two seconds. We kind'a don't want to do that.

---I vote for password protected, if my vote has any meaning or weight. I wrote mindspring, but I think emailing AOL won't do a thing. They like the idea of being overbearing and rude, seems to be corporate policy over there. --one very good thing about those fifty zillion free aol cd discs, they make great targets! You can zing em like a frisbee for skeet shooting! ---hmmm, let me cogitate here, doesn't aol just use thousands of local providers? If we had the info of the EXACT isp that "it" uses, maybe a lot of abuse emails there might work, rather than sending them to the main corporate email addy that I'm sure receives thousands of complaints a day.

I guess is AOL doesn't give a rat's ass, then I won't EVER use their services, and I'll pass the word along to friends and family.

Diane:

Phil needs to go to password protect. This is getting ridiculous.

It's kind of sad that the only way LL can give her life some meaning is to attack this board. You have to wonder how she could justify her existence to herself if she didn't have something like this to give her a sense of power. ah well. I would disagree with the password idea, only because I think LL would consider that a victory. I notice she describes herself as an "attractive single female." I wonder if she really is, or just wishes she was. Online she can be as pretty as she wants, single again, even female if s/he wants to be. And she can make people notice her and react to her. Sad, so sad.

Thanks Chuck. Thanks Diane.

Chuck-Just wanted you to know that I did not want Phil to stop what he is doing to come up with a new technology. thanks.

Hah,

No passwords yet, please. Don't want to throw out the "baby with the bathwater".

IMHO,

Maybe we can all write AOL and tell them to dosomething or we'll all cancel our subscriptions to TIME, cancel our Time/Warner cable and quit watching CNN/TBS/TNT/etc.
