Carter stabbed differently?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

Did anyone notice the way Carter was stabbed at the first of tonight's show? I may be wrong, but was he stabbed differently tonight than last week? If I remember correctly, he was stabbed twice, almost genltly, and silently last week, but this week, it was with greater force and he screamed. In the end, I guess it doesn't really matter, but just wondering if my mind is playing tricks on me.

Am I wrong?

No, it was the same. I remember thinking how vicious it was last week because it was like he stabbed him, stabbed again and twisted or pulled up on the knife. Brutal.

I think you could also hear the knife go in louder tonight.

hmmm - it may just have sounded that way because the music wasn't so loud. Perhaps I just didn't want to remember it so brutally!

I think you are right about the stabbing. I only saw the last 5 minutes of the show last week, so I really had no idea what was coming, and I remember thinking that Carter was being stabbed, but not being sure until he pulled his hand away and it was covered in blood. Maybe the music did cover up Carter screaming last week, and maybe it seemed more brutal because we knew it was coming, but I thought Carter's reaction was more extreme this week, too.

YES! YES! you are absolutely right! When Carter got stabbed last week, the first thing he said was "OW" and it was muffled and slow motion like. This week is wasn't like that, his voice was louder and clearer. It was the same scene but they cut out the part with him looking at his bloody hand and the valentine he picked up from the floor. It was definitely shorter and not as intense as last weeks presentation.

I think the differences were they showed a shortened version and the LOUD music was missing last night. Superb acting by the entire cast and extras. Well, except who WAS the brunette in pink scrubs at the end? Kinda reminded me of Carol but.........
