Chuck, the Injuns acquired big Chuck Finley and Im wondering how much he can add to the starting staff? Also, whose gunna beat the Reds in the NL? For the first time in my life I almost wish I lived in Cincy.

Oh.

Wrong tribe ..... and here I was all excited, thought it was about some "interesting" Indian-named baseball team.....but it was evidently about some American League team we already beat.

Chuck:

Go Tribe! I'm an old Cleveland boy and have been waiting for the Indians to win the World Series since I was a small boy. I spent many a summer's day at the old Municipal Stadium in the cheap seats behind the many girders cheering on the Indians of the 50's and 60's. It's time to show Atlanta who's boss!

Naw, it just means that we have another 2 months left in the Sumo season...

-- Mad Monk (madmonk@hawaiian.net), February 17, 2000.

Jim, I doubt that Atlanta will make the big dance for many years. Their pitching staff is getting a little long in the tooth and other teams in the NL are poised to rise to the top. This is not a slam on the Braves just my opinion of where the league is headed. In the AL, it will come down to the Indians and Yankeespickem. I too spent many days and nights at the old cavernous 'mistake by the lake'.

I don't know which is more boring, baseball or basketball, but they both suck.

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), February 17, 2000.

Oh - Well, in that case, if we're talking about the Yankees vs. the Indians.....

......Go Indians! Rah! Rah! (Remember what happened to Custer?)

I got my Reds season tickets; looking forward to see Ken Griffey Jr. put the Reds in play for the Ohio World Series.

GO TRIBE!!! I can't wait! I just hope that they have enough pitching this year. Last year they proved that even with some of the best offensive production in baseball, pitching still wins (and loses) games. I hope the new pitchers can make things happen this year.

Even though I love the Yankees, I'm sick of them always winning already. So, looking around town, I'll give the Mets and Phillies a whirl this year, and leave Jeter for another day.

Finally, something on this board tonight to make me smile...... Am waiting for my season tickets to be delivered, me and my sister (husbands stay home), ten years and counting......

Remember, the sweetest four words in the English language:

Pitchers and catchers report.

Forgot to include this.... Mr. Cook (from Atlanta) Will you please take David Justice back? We need the $$$ to pay Manny.

Sweetest 2 words: Play ball!

Good to hear from another baseball fan, Brew Crew... If you're in Milwaukee, two things:

What is the weather doing up there, cuz it's coming this way!!!

How is the new stadium coming? That terrible tragedy last year was going to delay its opening, no?
