Always wondered if the "rocket scientists" gave ANY consideration to the flaming balls of crap that almost inevitably return to Earth? Seems that most folks would get mighty peeved if'n a glob of flaming space turds landed on their roof. Anyone with rocket science background know if any concern whatsoever is ever given to re-entry issues?

While the odds of space junk landing on anyones roof is clearly small it is a newly introduced "man-made" risk/hazard. Lends a whole new meaning to the "sky is falling" ditty.

A friend of mine who works for NASA told me about this. Bad chips. They lost control right after the rollover and the orbit started decaying.
