OT-looking for you UFO buffs out there

Been wondering....don't know too much about what's going on lately except what I read in this forum. Is there anything about the triangular crafts, and/or the Phoenix sightings, that is unmistakabley non-earthly? Could they be lightweight, remote controlled, manmade craft? Any reason why so many folks think they can't possible be from earth? Could they be a breakthrough in technology, even if it looks incredible, or is there some reason why people are so sure we are dealing with ET's?

They supposedly look like the back millenium falcon (the lighted part). But it is concaved , as opposed to the falcon's rounded "lighted part".

There are sites on the net where children have drawn pictures of them. I have not been able to find these sites.

Maybe the chemtrails are for studying their movements. They could be undetectable by radar. Sure as hell know they are dusting the crap out of us with chemtrails here in Knoxville today. And have been all week. Bye Bye cruel world.

For one thing, the size as estimated in some cases seems to be far larger than anything we produce. Here is a firemouse@fcmail.com), February 16, 2000.

This is the Link that firemouse was trying to put up.

I advocate being open to the idea that at least SOME of the UFOs, upon closer inspection, would be found to have "US Air Force" markings. Just a thought about a possibility for some of the sightings. My contention for a long time has been that "unidentified" means exactly that, unidentified, not alien. Why CAN'T we say we don't know? And why can't we explore the possibilities? Sorry y'all, but I'm just curious (and you DO have to turn off the paved road to get to my house.) ;-)

homebound; Current info about the Phoenix Lights was told on TV the other night about a Lawyer in Phoenix who was talking the Govt to court about the lights. He mentioned that he had proof it was an alien ships. SHould be interesting case.... If your into reading ,try The Day After Roswell ,this book if real, tells some history about the techno gagets we have now. Also the newest stuff is from Depo, Ill where there was a craft about 300 ft long /triangluar shaped w/lights seen by many police and people with same stories of description. If you care to discuss this just contact me.

FWIW: as for the large triangular objects --

A few years ago a long-time friend of mine told me he saw a pair of large triangle-shaped objects pass over his house in Cincinnati, sometime in the 1973 - 1975 time frame. He has always struck me as being quite a literal person and he has never been given to exaggeration or story-telling. This is what he told me,to the best of my recollection, presented in the third person. Some of this is paraphrase, but I have not embroidered it. He has read this account and agrees that it accurately describes what he saw.

That year there had been a progressive wave of UFO reports, beginning in the deep southern states and gradually proceeding northward. Eventually the wave of sightings reached Cincinnati. He and his son (then 16 or so) had been discussing these reports in the weeks preceding this event.

One night (it was temperate weather, but he can't specify the month) his son called from the back yard, "Dad, you ought to come out and look at this!" When he got outside and looked up, he saw two large objects passing slowly overhead. These objects were dark in color, but faintly reflected the light from yard and street lights in the neighborhood. He did not describe to me any observed details on the underside.

The objects were opaque and occulted stars as they moved. He said the shapes were approximately equilateral triangles, and the two were the same size. The two triangular objects were moving very slowly and in tandem, each with a vertex leading. They were separated by a distance about the length of one side of the triangle. He estimated that length to be 200 feet or more and their altitude to be some 1,000 feet. (He recognizes the possibility of ranging error.)

The most striking feature he observed was a bright white light on the trailing edge of each object, sweeping at regular, frequent intervals from one vertex to the other. He said this light was bright but from a small source; and that the movement of the lights on the two objects was synchronized. They swept always together, always in the same direction, from A to B, then A to B again; never B to A.

He was very conscious of the slowness of their movement through the air, and he said he had the strong impression of great mass above him. The objects passed by silently, on a constant bearing, and finally passed out of his view behind trees.

In discussion with his son at the time, they were in agreement as to the details of what they had just seen. No missing time was noted. They made no report.

Neither he nor I think these two objects were of terrestrial origin, given the time of his sighting. Obviously this is just opinion. But it does seem likely that some contemporary reports may be of locally manufactured objects.

Well the case is in court as we speak. Today Peter Gersten of CAUS (Citizens Against UFO Secrecy) was on Art Bell and the judge seems to think the "triangle craft" sightings need to be explained. Why isn't the gov. investigating so many (33 affidavits presented and thousands of other sightings)incidences???? Here is the link to the recent news article. http://www.caus.org/pn021600b.htm

FEDERAL JUDGE AGREES WITH UFO GROUP AND FINDS GOVERNMENT'S AFFIDAVITS INADEQUATE

In a decision that is certain to put a frown on the faces of several officials within the Department of Defense, a United States District Court Judge in Phoenix has agreed with a UFO activist group and ordered the Department of Defense to provide additional affidavits, detailing the specifics of its search, to the group by March 17th.

Nine days ago, on February 7th, in a packed courtroom in Phoenix, Chief Judge Stephen M. McNamee heard oral arguments on the government's Motion for Summary Judgment in the Freedom of Information Act federal lawsuit of Citizens Against UFO Secrecy v. Department of Defense.

At the hearing, Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS) attorney Peter A. Gersten had argued that the Department of Defense's (DoD) search for information on a very large and unusual triangular aerial object, seen on a regular basis throughout the United States, was inadequate. During the 30 minute argument, Gersten repeatedly asked to see the specifics of the government's search. In his decision, Judge McNamee agreed and ordered the DoD to provide that information within 30 days.

The DoD has maintained that a search could find no information on this enigmatic craft even though thousands of people have reported seeing it, some observing it hovering at treetop level. CAUS had submitted thirty-three affidavits from eyewitnesses in support of its arguments.

In an interview with P3N, the CAUS attorney stated he was extremely satisfied with Judge's ruling, though he didn't think it went far enough. "Judge McNamee agreed with my arguments and that is encouraging" stated Gersten. "But I won't be satisfied until I am allowed to question DoD officials under oath. There is no doubt in my mind that they are lying about not having any information on something so obviously within their responsibility of intelligence and security," he continued.

FWIW, in the late l890s, when my European grandmother was living in Valparaiso, Chile, she and her sister were walking in the foothills and saw a UFO. It was a metallic, round to oval-shaped craft. Now this happened years before the first airplane flight by the Wright brothers at Kitty Hawk. The object was not a blimp either. My grandmother was a no-nonsense person. She survived two devastating earthquakes in Chile before returning to Europe. Even today Chile seems to be a UFO hotspot.

Lurkess,

My wife's grandmother swears witches can turn into crows. Not saying it *can't* happen, but I'm skeptical.

When my father was young he saw a craft in western Utah in the 30's. Nobody spoke of it at the time although several of the locals actually walked within football field length of it after it landed. They watched it for over an hour he told me just a few years ago. People just couldn't admit what they had seen. I was sceptical my self untill just a few months ago when I had the opportunity to see one for my self. It happened 2 days after a non-fatal plane crash in the mountains just west of where I live. Myself and a friend had driven fairly close to the crash site when it flew over our heads and landed near the wrecked airplane. We were close enough to see just about everything that moved. The second individual that exited the ship was a Hawk. He went directly to the crash site and spent a considerable amount of time around the tail. Somekind of a notepad was in one hand and his other carried what looked like wirecutters of some sort. They only stayed for a short time and entered the craft which then rose and soon was gone. I'll always remember it!
