I have some Colorimetric data in CIE-L*,a*,b* format that I wish to import into Photoshop. The data are given to 2 decimal places, but Photoshop only works in integers using L*a*b*, and I need greater colour resolution than this allows.

I have used published formulae to convert to Hue angle and Colour depth, but the results do not correspond with Photoshop's idea of Hue angle. (Pure Red = 0 degrees, Cyan=180)

Am I missing something? Or is the CIE hue angle offset from Adobe's? The CIE website seems to provide a wealth of lack of information.
