WinOnCd quits on me...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have a mpeg clip that I wanna make burn as a vcd. The problem is that Easy cd pro says it's no good (something with the clockrate or clock frequenzy) and WinOnCd refuses to burn the last 30-40 seconds at the end... I tried re encoding it with xing encoder but it gets all crapped up at the spot where WinOnCd stops burning. What am I doing wrong? Am I doing anything wrong? Is there anything I can do about it? I'm relying on all you experts out there... =)

Mikko: Did you make this clip yourself? it sounds like the clip was made using ATI AIW with the motion estimation set to high which EZ CD is seeing as being clock frequency issue. If you are making this yourself, I would suggest you redo it with the motion estimation slider set to default(3). If you want to increase the quality of your mpeg you should use video bitrate and not the motion estimation control. This setting will sync your vid/aud. moving this setting will cause your vid/aud to be out of sync. This will also kinda crap out your encoder because it can find the vid for the audio....It is telling you that it can't find the data from the input file right?
