Before I could even shoot my 1st roll with this camera, it developed a problem - I need your advise/assistance.

The mode switch / shutter button is jammed. I moved the switch to L and there it's been ever since. There is a little white button on the switch, but there is no 'play' with it.

Before I take it to a local repair shop, I'd like to hear from the community first.

The white button is supposed to be pressed in to turn the mode switch from the L position, but from your inquiry I suppose you guessed that.

Perhaps the white button is stuck and you need to push harder.
