Crude oil roared past $30 per barrel Monday amid fears that tapped out stockpiles will lead to a gasoline shortage when the summer driving season begins in April.

U.S. gasoline inventories are at their lowest levels in 15 years for this time of year, about 200 million barrels. Experts warn that should that number fall to 185 million, there will be a real possibility of supply disruptions.

many of us have acalled this achilles heel for the last year. There were, last year, some persons that were in the refinery business. I remember one who told about the mess they had in refining the crude that came out of the reserves. Where have all these forum members gone now that we need them? Taz

Waiting their turn in a gas line?

The debunker psychos ran them off, along with the majority of our cream of the crop. The only reason I'm still hear is because I'm a terribly stubborn b*tch.

I was surprised that our current oil situation was finally given some attention in the mainstream news last night and again this morning. Too bad they are unable to EVER give more than one piece of a puzzle to the puzzle impaired.

Here are a couple of links to Downstreamers petroleum board which might be informative.

Today's Wall St. Journal article on this is on page C-1. Can someone please post the text? Thanks.

One of the best was called RC. His web site got hacked, then some creeps tried to smear his reputation at the forum. Andy was another good one; nasty trolls are still posting mockery about him. Too bad for us all.

Not to mention Downstreamer himself. At least we can still get his input at his forum.

A lot of the names I used to see when I first started coming to this forum are participating on Ed Yourdon's Humpty Dumpty forum. You need a password there though, and I'm not sure if you can use fake email addresses. Unfortunately, many of us (like me) are not willing to "out" themselves.

Mike,

I haven't yet gotten the hang of those link thingies. Here's the address.

I'm pretty sure you can browse and read anything on the forum, but you need to be a member to post anything.

Helloooooo MUMSIE! Good to see you.

It's an election year and the administration is trying to keep the oil problem under wraps until after the election. Heard vague and fleeting references to "supply and demand" as the reason for the price of gas and heating oil today. The administration put it out, also, that the price of gas "should be coming down in a couple months". I heard these tidbits on two separate radio news breaks. We can expect them to parcel and spin out any sheeple concerns so as not to impact on Algore's bid for the Big Show.

Don't expect anybody in the mainstream to offer up any puzzle pieces or to mention any of the Opec/Saudi/Y2K probs.

On the FOX News channel, tonite, Bill O'Reilley, of the O'Reilley Factor, said that Clinton knew last March, that OPEC would be cutting back on their oil allotment.....and asked why he didn't do anything about it, before this. The situation is being covered more frequently by the news, now, tho I primarily watch FOX News, since I think it is the least biased.
