Printing technique of Anton Corbijn

Does anyone know the exact technique of Anton Corbijn4s prints (or whoever it is that makes them)? I only know that it's partly due to developing in lith and perhaps some toning? Please help. Thanks very much in advance. David

Actually I'm wondering if you found the answers to your blues. (Corbijn blue queston). I'm interested in knowing myself.

I don't know the full answer to your question, but I recently met Anton at a photographic gallery in Manchester. As I'm also a photographer I asked him the question on the various techniques which he inposes on his work. With regards to the blue tone prints he mentioned that he was using a polaroid film which was being hand developed, possibly over 'deved' or over 'fixed'or a combination of the two. The second stage would be during printing, either toned paper or simply printing times. The other thing could be if he was cross processing slide/E6/transparency film and then printing the image as a colour negative this also gives some wacky results. Anyway he wasn't giving away any of his secrets to me, the best answer would be if you yourself are a photographer or a printer then experiment through trial and error, it's the only way.
