Since I live in Florida and have seen them my whole life, gator pictures don't do much for me. I will say that I really like the composition of this one though. Very nice reflection. Since I never can find much of anything to actually critique in most of your shots, I'll nitpick just a little. It would have been nice if you had removed the blade of grass right in front of his snout. I had to look really hard to find than much wrong with it. Is that a piece of trash (cellophane?) in the background, or just a dead leaf? Overall, I'd have to say this is another winner.

Yeah, Larry, you should have climbed down there and picked that blade of grass. Open your eyes, man! Sorry, I'm a little touchy about comments like that. Also, I've lived in Florida all of my life, but I'm no more tired of Alligator shots than I am pictures of anything else you see here (birds, trees, etc.). Why single out Alligators to be tired of?

This is an excellent shot, Larry. The colors and texture of the skin are beautifully rendered. I also really like the reflection. It does a lot for the image. I'm pretty sure that I have seen this gator basking on campus as well, and I have often wished I had my camera with me. Now I may have to start hauling it around at all times. Cheers!
